Manchester United outcast Henrikh Mkhitaryan came in from the cold last night to shine for the Red Devils in their 4-0 win over Feyenoord.
The Armenian midfielder played in United’s last Europa League game against Fenerbahce in Turkey but has not started a game for the Red Devils since September’s Manchester derby, where Pep Guardiola’s men defeated Jose Mourinho’s side in the Premier League.
Against the Dutch outfit, Mkhitaryan replaced Anthony Martial, who has been struggling for form this campaign and the 27-year-old returned with a bang last night securing the Man of the Match award after lighting up Old Trafford with an attacking performance to be proud of.
The playmaker’s excellent performance could be bad news for Martial especially with Mkhitaryan proving a point to Mourinho that he’s capable of perfectly fitting into Man United’s 4-3-3 system.
The 27-year-old was a constant threat with the playmaker making a number of intelligent passes and runs to torment Feyenoord.
Mkhitaryan may feel slightly annoyed that he didn’t get on the scoresheet yesterday as he

had a handful of excellent opportunities to get his first goal for Man United.
